The two main keys for completing the Ike Jime process is utilizing the brain spike to euthanize the fish. This turns the brain off and the fish can no longer suffer from suffocation. The second part is the Wire. By running this wire up the neural canal you will trick the muscle of the fish into not knowing it's dead. This makes for longer lasting and better tasting fish. With this kit you will get the spike and choice of wire from Freshwater, Inshore, Offshore, and Giant Tuna. Also included in the kit is a pack of absorbent pads. Place a pad inside a Ziplock bag or container that you keep your fillets in. The pad helps to eliminate bacteria and results in better tasting fish.
